Hi guys,
Still no joy as per my previous post, we have tried everything to connect last three decoders to phone. I have 5 of your decoders in total my first 2 installed still work perfectly. now the last 3 and I know they have been stored in their packaging for a while quite safely that I have tried installing will not quite get to the control screen stage. My phone tells me they are connected, gives me their numbers d778c4 / d778fa/ / df04cb . However the control screen will just not come up. Just as a teaser the control screen did appear twice over two days and the functions all worked but that was it no luck since.
Are you gremmlins the same as ours. Any input gatefully recieved Warren Jones
Hi team, thanks for the input, once I get the sequence right it seems to work. Will keep working away at it, Got my gas electric car working anyway. Batteries are the last big hurdle now always looking for very compact batteries with enough punch to power locos. Had some sucess will see. Cheers warren
Hi, well an update to my previous posts, after much fiddling we seem to have tracked problem to wifi between phone anrd module. It appears that while first two modules are happy to connect direct to my phone wifi my last three wont. they try to connect through the internet which wont happen and when I go into wifi on my phone I find its telling me its connected to the module and do I want to use the local network and when I switch it back the display screen comes up. The other thing that came up whilst fiddling was notification of a firmwear update which has not appeared before. As for noise from the speaker all my modules make a very slight crackle when applying power and again when they connect so that seems normal anyway. So I will box on still enjoying it. Will keep you posted thanks for everyones input Warren Jones
I am on my very first Locofi unit. Everything goes well until the time to refresh the loco list. At this point it simply does not proceed but goes back to the Main page. Just before that, when I confirm to add it to the network, I hear a very faint noise from the speaker. Is it possible this batch of units have some common problem?
P S No error mesage appears anywhere, have had one of the old modules and a new one appear together but that occured only once WS
Thanks for input. will keep plugging away and let you know any sucess thanks. W J
The Locos need to be connected to the same Network. I suggest starting over from scratch, adding one loco at a time.
A phone can be connected to only one network at a time. If your phone connects to a module directly, the module is effectively acting like an access point. If your phone is showing all three modules on the app main screen, it appears that your modules are connected to a WiFi network, the same as your smartphone is connected to. If you are unable to see the control screen in this case when you click on any of the locos, do you get any error message?
