I was able to get an old android phone off of a friend so I went ahead and converted one engine to Loco-fi but all my family members have iphones and if they want to run trains when they visit it would be nice if they could use their own phones. Three people trying to run three trains on one phone is not an option.

That's funny. Of course that doesn't make sense.
That is why iOS app is on our menu.
However, until then considering only the smartphone prices (not the preference), an iOS user is more likely to be able to afford (even a new) Android smartphone and not the other way around.
Sorry, no IOS app is a no go for me. I won't use anything associated with Alphabet/Google. I have been following your progress and development for a couple of years, but IOS support is essential. I will have to be patient for a little, hopefully, longer.
We value and respect your decision as this is very personal to every one of us. Unfortunately, we are short of resources on app development and writing an iOS app is something that will need to be done ground up. We can't reuse any of our existing codebase.
You are not alone. There's many who are waiting for the iOS app and we are doing our best. Although most have switched (albeit temporarily) to Android, there are some who are simply waiting. However, a small percentage (who did not want to deal with Google stuff as yourself) have taken the route of alternatively using the Amazon Fire devices instead. That may be an alternative to consider.
The LocoFiâ„¢ app is currently available for Google Android 5.0+ and Amazon Fire 5.0+ devices only. Our iOS version of the app is delayed. Unfortunately we do not have a release date for it yet. We apologize for the same.
Please note that most latest Android and Fire devices can be had for less than $100 or even $50 in some cases. We really encourage you to try out our app on one of those devices (it's possible that one of them maybe lying around or be borrowed from other family members or friends). We have many customers who have taken this approach (at least temporarily) while waiting for the iOS version of the app.

Thanks for your thoughtful reply. However, I will continue to wait for the iOS version. Glenn
