I'm familiar enough with the concept of LocoFi now, that I was wondering if the boards would interface with MQTT?

Hello Joe,
LocoFi currently does not support MQTT, primarily not because that it's not possible but that there has not been a use case that would warrant its use. Further, it will break LocoFi's current paradigm of "not needing" a central (broker in the case of MQTT).
However, MQTT being another IoT protocol should be easily integrable. To do that, you will obviously need a broker and subscribers that can be listening to certain types of messages broadcast by LocoFi. On the other hand, since LocoFi cannot really subscribe, the messages will need to be broadcasted to the LocoFi end of devices and each individual device can filter what it's interested in.
We can take it up offline if you are interested to pursue this further. Please send us an e-mail in that case.
Best regards,
LocoFi Team
