The prime mover S.E.M.T. Pielstick 16 PA 4 is used in other French locomotives too. If you want to be 100% correct with the CC70000 there is actually two prime movers in it. And both needs to be running to move the locomotive. A double engine startup, one at a time is a litte bit to long to wait for in a model maybe. In real life the procedure takes about 10-15minutes.
On the "bell" sound is a cold weather failed start attempt with motor stalling.
